Today I attend a Fashion Talk show by Ichwan Thoha and Adi Barlan. Both of them are Fashion designer in Indonesia. Ichwan Thoha graduated from Lasalle Singapore and now he own his brand . Meanwhile Adi Barlan is Ichwan's Junior, Adi was his assistance for a few years. 

On this Talk show we learned about Fashion Industry and Business. So Fashion is garments or accessories wear by a small or big communities once at the time , accepted and exist.

I like how Ichwan told us to be brave with our style and just be what we are without caring what other say about us. He said he was into fashion since he was in the 3rd grade of Elementary School, and he always want to be a Fashion designer. he is such a cheerful and dedicated person. he did what he like and being himself. Okay, so what I want to share here is about Important Components in Fashion, There are 4 Components:

1.  Form/ Silhoutte/ Shape :

     First of all the components of Fashion is Form or we call it Shape. Every person have a different body shape and it is what makes everybody different. And as a Fashion people we have to know about form that suit us well. There are so many shape of body that people have. Why it's important to know well about the body shape? Because its the fundamental to styling our looks, to make it as perfect as we want it to be. And by knowing about Form or Shape we can improve and add more style to the base form/ shape. For an example, the ancient human wore T shape and now its being a Tshirt.

     Tips:

2.  Texture:

      A surface or something we can touch and feel. There are 2 types of texture:

Feminine Texture and Masculine Texture. It is true that Fashion are divided into two for Woman and Man. But nowadays rather man or woman can wear what they want because Fashion have no limit. For the Feminine Texture, it have more flexible and loose texture such as Chiffon, Satin, Jersey, and Silk. 

The Masculine Texture have more 'Man' feature , formal and inflexible components such as Denim and Wool.

    

3.   Color :

      Just like two other components , Color is one of the most important thing that a Fashion Designer couldn't forget. Color are a representative of someone moods or sometimes its show a characteristic of some company. We learn about color styling in Fashion industry, it is how we mix two different color together. We can also make color as our inspiration and make a new collection from some color. Each color have different character and its reflect to person who wear it. For example if you are a cheerful person you can wear yellow , it is depend on your mood. And we have so many colors in the world because if we combine one color to other color we can make a new colors.

4.   Design/ Detail/ Looks :

      The Last Components is Design. it is the most favorite major for some designer, we combine all of the components in a design. And Design have so many part, each part are combining each others.

Banyak hal yang ingin saya ketahui, membuat penasaran , mempelajarinya barang sebentar lalu bosan dan berganti. Semakin bertambahnya usia, saya tahu saya harus memfokuskan diri pada satu hal yang benar-benar saya sukai. Jika tidak saya akan tertinggal dari teman-teman saya yang sudah lebih berfokus pada satu hal dan mengembangkan passionnya disana. 

Saya menyadari bahwa mengeluti bidang yang berbeda dari khalayak umum menjadi beban tersendiri. Tidak banyak orang yang tahu dan mengerti , tidak mudah mengatur jadwal dan pikiran. Banyak yang harus saya pelajari dari dunia baru saya tentang penerbangan, karena semuanya harus saya pelajari dari nol, Pendidikan dini mana yang mengajarkan ilmu tentang dunia penerbangan yang tentunya selalu berubah setiap kali ada pembaharuan teknologi. 

Tapi saya sadar ada hal yang benar-benar saya sukai sejak dulu dan tidak pernah saya lupakan. Sekalipun sudah bertahun-tahun sejak saya mulai berkreasi lagi di bidang ini. Saya tahu mungkin saya tertinggal banyak dari tren-tren baru yang bermunculan. Tapi tidak ada kata terlambat bukan? 

Kedua hal yang saya geluti , keduanya bertolak belakang. Tidak ada hubungannya dunia Fashion yang saya menemukan passion didalamnya dengan dunia penerbangan yang baru-baru ini saya terjun didalamnya. Tentunya satu-satunya hal yang mungkin berkaitan adalah seragam dinas yang digunakan sehari-hari, tapi tidak ada kaitan yang dalam karena pakaian dinas yang dikenakan hamper sama setiap harinya.

Tinggal di asrama, jauh dari Internet dan dunia luar kadang membuat saya berpikir bahwa seni Fashion saya sudah sekarat. Kadang-kadang saya bermimpi begitu besar untuk dapat membuka gerai saya sendiri suatu hari nanti seperti impian masa kecil saya, sederhana. Tapi nyatanya tidak semudah itu, karena perlahan impian saya berganti menjadi impian-impian baru di dunia penerbangan. Bagaimana menyeimbangkan keduanya agar selaras? Apakah saya harus merelakan salah-satunya?

Saya rasa tidak. Saya tahu perjalanan saya masih Panjang. Banyak impian yang ingin saya capai, terlalu ambisius? tidak juga, terkadang sikap ambisius dan mengebu-gebu terhadap suatu hal juga dibutuhkan. Saya tidak mau meninggalkan keduanya, karena saya sudah jatuh hati pada mereka. Fashion adalah hal yang saya sukai semenjak saya masih duduk di bangku sekolah dasar dan masih ada banyak waktu untuk menjadi lebih baik. Dan Penerbangan, pelan-pelan sudah masuk ke seluruh kehidupan saya, saya menikmati mengontrol pesawat udara walau kadang-kadang rasanya seperti mempertaruhkan nyawa saya sendiri.
